FAILE is an artistic collaboration between Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller, based in Brooklyn. The name FAILE is an anagram of their first project, “A life,” and reflects their exploration of duality through a fragmented style of appropriation and collage.

FAILE’s work is characterized by a wide range of multimedia techniques, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, stencils, installation, and prayer wheels, as well as found visual imagery and a blurring of the lines between “high” and “low” culture.

In recent years, FAILE has placed a greater emphasis on audience participation, critique of consumerism, and the incorporation of religious media, architecture, and site-specific research into their art. Their work invites viewers to engage with themes of mass culture and encourages reflection on the intersections between art and society.
